BIO EN ESPAÑOL:

María Elena Soria, estilista y diseñadora de vestuario, ha desarrollado su carrera trabajando principalmente en publicidad, moda, videoclips y como personal shopper.

Trabaja en el ámbito nacional e internacional, así tuvo la oportunidad de rodar videos musicales con bandas como Saint Vicent, Bastille, Hurts, M83, además de haber participado en giras de artistas nacionales como Miguel Bosé, Bebe o Cristina Rosenvinge entre otros.

Se inició como estilista en 2002, realizando editoriales para revistas como Tendencia o El País Dominical. Es a partir de entonces y hasta hoy cuando trabaja para numerosas productoras como Álamo Films, Lee Films, Landia, Canadá, Blur, Tf7 tv, Iris Producciones, Black Dog Films, Future Lighthouse, RCR Films, Garlic, Igloo, Filmmaster, Somesuc, The Buddies, Wabi, Noname, Albiñana, Sopa de Toro, Hawai Films, Propaganda, Oviedo, Primo, Falca, Team Works, Garage, Division Q, Picnic, H, etc; realizando spots publicitarios para marcas como Orange, Vodafone, Heineken, Puma, Playboy, Coca-Cola, Ikea, Multiopticas, Poker Stars, Campari, Barcelo, Axe, Beefeater, Terry, San Miguel, Banco Espirito Santo, Bankia, El Corte Ingles, Renault, Repsol, Mahou, etc.

Le apasiona viajar y observar a la gente allí donde esté, analizar sus actitudes, descubrir lo que quieren expresar a través del vestuario, conocer otros estilos de vida. Es en estos momentos en los que emergen sus mejores ideas y fuentes de inspiración. Cinéfila de corazón, fotógrafa por afición, María Elena tiene un don visual y una gran sensibilidad estética, así como capacidad creativa.

Estudió Publicidad en el CES de Madrid , se trasladó a Londres para realizar las prácticas en la MTV, y aprovechó la estancia para estudiar varios cursos de diseño en la Central St Martins de Londres.

A lo largo de su trayectoria profesional, fue nominada en los UK AWARDS en la categoría de “Mejor Vestuario”. Y algunos de sus trabajos obtuvieron premios y nominaciones en festivales de gran prestigio internacional como el Tribeca Film Festival, además de MVA Festival, Festival de Cine europeo, Cameron festival, Camerimage Fil Festival y en el Berlin Video Music Awards.

María Elena está en Madrid, Barcelona y Londres, siempre en constante movimiento reinventándose una vez más y buscando el entusiasmo y la belleza en cada proyecto y en la vida.

María Elena Soria, stylist and costume designer, has developed her career working mainly in advertising, fashion, music videos and as a personal shopper.

She works nationally and internationally, so she had the opportunity to shoot music videos with bands like Saint Vicent, Bastille, Hurts, M83, as well as having participated in tours of national artists such as Miguel Bosé, Bebe or Cristina Rosenvinge among others.

She is passionate about travelling and observing people wherever they are, analysing their attitudes, discovering what they want to express through their clothes, getting to know other lifestyles. It is in these moments that her best ideas and sources of inspiration emerge. A filmmaker at heart, a photographer by choice, María Elena has a visual gift and great aesthetic sensitivity, as well as a creative capacity.

She studied Advertising at the CES in Madrid, moved to London to do an internship at MTV, and during her stay she studied several design courses at Central St Martins in London.
